Log in to the KSeF application

Log in with Profil Zaufany
If you choose another method to log in, the process may be different.
Enter the tax ID number of the company you are acting on behalf of, then identify yourself by clicking on the "Uwierzytelnij" (Authenticate) button.
Then sign your authentication document:
Select the "Profil Zaufany" option. Additional options are also available, but are subject to certain prerequisites.

In the case of sole proprietorships, the entrepreneur, as the administrator, is automatically connected for issuing and receiving invoices.
In the case of partnerships, the administrator must be designated on the ZAW-FA form submitted to the tax office.

Request a certificate
Once this has been done, proceed to the next step.
After logging in to KSeF, select Certyfikaty (Certificates) / Wnioskuj o certyfikat (Apply for a certificate) from the menu.
1. Name your certificate
2. Set up a strong password to your certificate
It is not possible to change or reset the password used for the certificate. If it is lost, a completely new certificate must be generated.
Currently, the KSeF system allows one certificate to be generated every 30 days per person and per entity.

4. Click on the "Generuj" button
When you generate the certificate, a *.key private key file is created, which you will find among the downloaded items by default.
Save the downloaded private key file to a secure location on your computer.
After downloading the private key, in the second step, enter the purpose of the certificate: "Uwierzytelnienie w systemie KSeF" (Authentication in the KSeF system)
Enter the current date as the start of the validity period so that the certificate can be used immediately.
Click on "Wyślij wniosek o wydanie certyfikatu" (Send certificate request).
Download the certificate
Once you have your *.key private key, download the *.crt certificate file as well.
Save the downloaded certificate files to a secure location on your computer.

Choose "Lista Certyfikatów" from the menu
Select the desired certificate and click on "Pobierz certyfikat" and then "PEM Certyfikat."
The certificate *.crt file is placed in the default Downloads folder.
